Today
- The paper permit gets wet, gets lost, or is sent in a group chat.
- Gas tests and isolation checks sit in a folder in the site cabin.
- After the job, someone rebuilds the proof.
AuditDAT is an oil and gas inspection app for permit, confined space, hot work and LOTO checks in Ghana, Nigeria and similar markets. A fail becomes a job card that stops the work. Checks still finish with no internet. A QR at the gate lets a visitor report a problem.
The problem
How it is used
Do permit, confined-space and isolation checks on a phone. Failed items become job cards. Visitors and the control room can add to the same list.
At the job
At the Train 2 pipe rack, the officer confirms the permit is displayed, the fire watch is in place and the gas test is in date. Lifting and site HSE checks work the same way, even with no signal. Signatures and photos stay on the record, and a fail becomes a job card.
Before entry
Before anyone enters vessel V-204, the gas reading from the detector goes on the confined-space check, along with the time and whether extra ventilation is needed. If a reading is outside safe limits, it becomes a job card before anyone goes in.
On isolation
The job card for valve P-12 holds the lockout photos, the owner and the due date. Maintenance closes it with proof when the work is done. Later, you can open the full record for a client or an investigation.
At the gate
A QR code at the gate or muster point opens a short form. A visitor or contractor can report a hazard, such as loose grating on a walkway, without logging in. The report joins the same list as permit job cards.
In the control room
When someone radios in a problem, the control room raises it as a job card. It sits on the list with the permit and isolation jobs, such as an overdue gas test or a missing isolation tag, until someone closes it.
