Today
- Fire, PPE and chemical inspections stay on paper.
- A near miss is mentioned to a supervisor and never reaches the report.
- Nobody owns the follow-up.
AuditDAT is an HSE inspection app for site teams in Ghana, Nigeria and similar markets. Each failed check becomes a job card for the person who owns the area, and any worker can report a near miss from a QR code without logging in.
The problem
How it is used
Do the site walk and toolbox talk on a phone. Workers can report a near miss from a QR. Environmental rounds and reports use the same app.
On the walk
The officer finds trailing cable and pallets blocking the fire point, so the access route fails. A note and a photo go on the check, and the fail becomes a job card for the person who owns the area. PPE, fire and COSHH checks work the same way, even with no internet.
At the talk
The supervisor records the topic, here working at height, and each attendee signs on the tablet. The talk is saved in the same app as the site inspections, so it sits with the rest of the day’s HSE records.
On the board
Put a QR code on the safety board, in the canteen or at the entrance. A worker scans it, picks the report type, describes the hazard and adds a photo. No AuditDAT account is needed, and the report joins the same job-card list.
On site
Noise, vibration, water quality and turbidity readings go straight onto the check, even offline. Add a photo of the site. If a reading is over the limit, it becomes a job card like any other failed item.
In the office
Back in the office, the HSE team sees every open job card across sites, with its owner, priority and due date. Area owners close their cards with photos. Each finished inspection can be sent as a branded PDF.
